Placement in the Organisation:
Department: WAMENA (West Africa, Middle East, North Africa & Pakistan)
Line Manager: Regional Director for NMS WAMENA
Workstation: NMS Ngaoundéré. Occasional international travel may also be necessary.
Main Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations and management of the office.
- Manage local staff (HR), including holding regular staff meetings and coordinating team meetings for all employees and volunteers working for NMS in Cameroon.
- Act as the NMS representative in Cameroon, in close coordination with the Regional Director for NMS WAMENA.
- Welcome and assist NMS visitors and personnel traveling within Cameroon.
- Update visitors on security routines.
- Actively engage in the development of new and ongoing projects.
- Provide clear recommendations concerning the implementation and outcomes of projects.
- Maintain robust communication between NMS and project teams through proper reporting, visits, and the like.
- Streamline the reporting routines for Team Cameroon, incorporating both local and international advisors through regular annual cycle meetings.
- Stay updated on project progress and offer suggestions for project applications.
- Contribute to the general NMS information regarding our partnership with EELC and activities in Cameroon.
- Facilitate training and professional development for local staff in consultation with the Regional Director.
- Conduct training on security and risk management, intercultural communication, cultural sensitivity and conflict management specific to the Cameroonian context.
- Maintain regular and proactive communication and consultation regarding all relevant issues with the Regional Director.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field such as management, organisational leadership, development studies, or social sciences.
- Professional leadership experience.
- Experience in project management.
- Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster a knowledge-sharing and learning environment.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English and French.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work harmoniously in a multicultural setting, showing gender-sensitive and non-discriminatory behaviour.
- Valid driver’s license.
