The Norwegian Mission Society (NMS) in Cameroon is searching for a financial manager, an advisor with responsibility for finances in the NMS office in Ngaoundere and follow up the financial management in the projects supported by NMS in Cameroon.

Line Manager: Regional representative for NMS WAMENA
Work station: Based in Ngaoundéré, Cameroon, with routine travel to project sites. Occasional international travel may also be necessary.

Job Description:
Overall responsibility for the finances in the NMS office in Ngaoundere and follow-up of the financial management of the projectssupported by NMS in Cameroon.
Concrete work tasks, among others:
- Responsible for accounting in NMS Cameroon
- Responsible for regular reporting of field accounts for NMS local office to NMS head office
- Responsible for quality assurance regarding payment orders according to budget and transfer plan
- Responsible for year-end closing of accounts and coordination of local audit of the NMS accounts
- Responsible for presenting a yearly budget proposal for the local NMS office together with the field coordinator
- Proactively gather and share information about any internal or external factors possibly affecting the risk level for projects and inform the NMS head office.
Follow-up of projects
- Responsible for financial and administrative follow-up of all projects NMS supports with local partners
- Responsible for coordinating necessary training in up-to-date requirements and standards on finance issues for key personnel in projects
- Responsible for quality check-up of all budgets and reports for projects before forwarding to NMS head office within deadlines, including an overall analysis and reporting key findings
- Responsible for communicating requirements and templates for finance reporting to local partners.
- Responsible for staying up to date on all requirements for application and reporting for projects, including local legislation concerning finances and management that impacts the projects
The position can be combined with other specific work/engagements in NMS or may be seconded to EELC for specific purposes.
Qualifications
- Level of study and years of experience: This job/profession is accessible with a diploma in management economics or finance atBac+5 level (Master, Engineer),or equivalent.
- Skill in project monitoring and administration.
- Experience of 2 to 05 years in a similar position.
