He brought us to this place

New and uncertain. Frustration and optimism. Shy and outgoing. Adaptation and lightness. Koselig and uncomfortable. Solitude and partnership. Expectations and reality.  Service and work. Adventure and routine. Confrontation and acceptance. Boldness and comfort zone. Creativity and convenience. Flexibility and impatience. Light and darkness. Yes and no. Middag and lunch. Simplicity and what really matters. Norge and Brasil. Shared life and open concept. Culture and shock. Easy and hard.

These two internship months have been a mix of opposites, between sunny and dark days. Exchange is not only about an ocean of roses, but learning how to swim in the spikes. It is about taking a step back and understanding what is to serve. It is to let ourselves be modeled by God’s acting. It is to find the Creator reflected in what is different. Is not understanding even the traffic signs, but being sure that He has taken care of everything. It is living faith in obedience, is going towards the unknown. It is being who He wants us to be here and now. Experiencing the company, learning with the different and enjoying God’s grace daily.

“And you saw how the Lord your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he brought you to this place.” Dt. 1:31

We discovered that opposites are complementary and makes us grow. In the end, we are like Grøt and lørdag. Pepperkaker and Christmas.

Esses dois meses de estágio foram uma mistura entre opostos, entre dias de sol e dias de escuros. Intercâmbio não é apenas sobre um mar de rosas, mas é sobre aprender a nadar em meio aos espinhos. É sobre um passo para trás e entender o que é servir. É deixar de ser moldado pelo ato de Deus no novo. É encontrar o Criador refletido de maneira diferente. Ele não entende nem está escrito nas placas de trânsito, mas tem a certeza de que Ele tem o cuidado de tudo. É viver com fé na obediência, é para o desconhecido. É quem ele quer saber aqui e agora. Vivencie uma companhia, aprenda com o diferente e desfrute da graça de Deus diariamente.

“Também no deserto vocês viram como o Senhor, o seu Deus, os carrega, como um pai carrega o seu filho, por todo o caminho que percorre até chegar a este lugar.” Dt. 1:31

Descobrimos que os opostos se complementam e nos fazem crescer. No final, somos como arroz doce e sábado. Biscoitos de gengibre e natal.
